What are Dead/Stuck Pixels?

Synonymous in effect, a dead pixel is one that does not properly change colors - it is stuck to white. A stuck pixel is one which continually displays the same color, no matter what is on the screen.

Many manufacturers will not fix/replace an LCD unless a minimum number of pixels are stuck (usually 3 or 5). As technology improves, dead pixels are also becoming rarer.
