What is Pixel Response Time?
Instead of using a scan line system like the trusty old CRT, an LCD screen is composed of individual diodes that are individually controlled. In the case of a 1024x768 display, this means the monitor controls 786,432 of these diodes. The pixel response time is the time it takes for a pixel to go from black to white and then back to black. With technology improving, response times are decreasing steadily.
